This Must be the Place
Finding ourselves at home
Tuesday 21 October - 6.30pm
To talk about home is to talk about who we are. More than shelter, it is the place where memory, safety, and meaning gather. How do we design homes that reflect us truthfully — and what does it mean to be at home both in ourselves and in our surroundings?
On October 21, Geist is bringing together a dazzling lineup of speakers to explore these questions from very different angles.
David Netto, celebrated American designer and writer, will chair the evening. Known for his witty, incisive essays on design as well as his own interiors, he brings both critical perspective and humour to the subject of how we live.
Creative director Ab Rogers will draw on the experience of the Wolfson Prize-winning, conceptual and care-centred work of his multi-disciplinary, design practice..
Renowned designer Merlin Eayrs will share insights and experiences from his intimate, nature-based approach to building and home-making.
Together they will ask what it truly means to create — and to feel — at home.
Guests are reminded that Pollini the award winning restaurant at Ladbroke Hall is available to be booked for dinner after the talk.
